Hello beauties, this was a much needed and long overdue trip with my girl’s. I felt as if I hadn’t been around my them in a long time. We plan trips together every year and it’s nice to get away for a couple days with your besties. We decided to go to Virginia Beach this year and like any place we go to together, I always have fun.
Relaxation was the one thing I wanted to focus on during this trip and being stress free. The atmosphere in the Airbnb we stayed in kept me calm and i didn’t even realize it until after we left. The host decorated the house very nice and she had Buddha’s and other items of relaxation around the house. Usually our first night of weekend we tend to stay in and play games but with a twist of course. My favorite was Uno Flip! This new Uno you can flip the cards and the flip side is way more harsh than regular Uno. You guys should try it out sometimes.
Now we didn’t stay in the house the entire time. A must do activity when at the beach is to visit the beach of course. Now I’m used to hot sunny weather at the beach but in Virginia the weather was nice and cool. Of course I wasn’t thinking that the water would be extra cold when first getting in and boy was I wrong. The cool weather however caused the water to be cool and I was not used to it at all. In addition to the water being cool I kept getting hit in the face every time a wave came in, so I gave up and sat on the beach to get some sun and take photos.
After going to the beach we wanted food, specifically seafood. We stopped at Captain George Seafood and the best thing that I ate was the cherry cheesecake. My friends all ate crab legs but my taste buds must have been wanting everything but the crab legs. Once we were done eating our next stop was to an escape room. I’m not sure if any of you have ever been to an escape room but they make you think and you find out your strengths and weaknesses when problem solving. The one we choose to do was in the dark, but we were able to use our phone flashlights. I had my phone and a second flashlight just to be safe. Now it wasn’t scary or anything but for me I don’t like anything scary because I am a very jumpy person when I get scared. Our escape room was called Cassi’s Revenge. We had an hour to figure out all the clues to get out and we did in fact get out before our hour was up, but we could not figure out one simple piece of our last clue. Our game master finally came in, and for me being the scary person she scared me. We were all bunched up on the back wall and I was the one screaming. After that was over she told us all we had to do was switch the necklaces on two different dolls. We all looked at one another like… oh that was all we had to do, but it was fun and we may have to find another escape room in the future.
To end our trip before we journeyed back to South Carolina, we stopped at The Egg Bistro. The first thing we all noticed on the menu were mimosas. Of course, they had the classic mimosa flavors but what interested me were the next level mimosas. I chose a Peach Bellini mimosa because since I’ve moved to Georgia. I have been loving drinks with peach flavors. I tried something different when it came to the food, by getting a carnitas bowl with avocado. I liked everything in the bowl except the carnita, but I’m glad I tried something different. Overall I think we all liked the mimosas the best.
Our next adventure will be decided soon and this time we’ll be pulling our next destination randomly from different places we all would like to visit. Are there any places you think would be great for a girl’s trip getaway? Let me know in the comments of any future destinations and if you like the travel blog posts.
