How It All Started…

My first serious makeup purchase was from M.A.C., and I bought it on a whim. At the time M.A.C. was selling Rihanna’s Viva Glam collection and I choose to go with the red lipstick and a eyeliner. After that I began to study and learn everything I could about makeup. Of course as a beginner I made a few or more mistakes, but who hasn’t. With practice and patience my makeup looks flawless.

Now I wasn’t always a fan of makeup. I thought people who wore makeup were trying to cover up something rather than enhance their beauty. When I think back to middle and high school when my friends and other girls were wearing makeup, I just couldn’t figure out why everyone was wearing it. At that moment I told myself I would never let anyone do my makeup or let alone put it on myself. Even though I would tell myself this over and over I did purchase mascara and eyeliner, but I barely wore it and in the trash it went.

Over the years my love for makeup has grown and become my creative outlook. I’ve never been good at drawing or painting portraits but when I “paint my face” it’s as if I was always meant to do this. For me makeup is not just a hobby or something that I like to play with in my free time but it’s where my imagination takes control. There’s so many different aspects of using makeup from changing ones looks in movies, to special effects, highlighting certain facial features, and last but not least everyday makeup wear. I’m not gonna say that I’m the best when it comes to each category of using cosmetics but I will say I have perfected my face makeup to make it look flawless.

Fast forward to the present, and it’s hard for me to go a whole month without purchasing a new product. It doesn’t even have to be makeup specifically as of recently I’ve been in to skincare products. As it’s said that your skin should be taken care of first before applying your foundation, but I’ll save skincare tips for another post.
