Hello beauties and happy hump day. We’re almost to the end of an amazing week. I hope the time change didn’t affect anyone too bad this week. Today I’m going to talk about what’s on my beauty wishlist for this year. Most of these products are on the high end side and others are more affordable.
Makeup
As you would guess my makeup wishlist is sort of long, but these are products that I really want to try soon. There are two foundations that I’ve been eyeing since 2019 and that’s the Pat McGrath and Charlotte Tilbury foundations.
I’ve been trying a bit of different concealers lately the Kevyn Aucoin has been mentioned by two of beauty influencers I follow. The second concealer is more budget friendly from E.L.F. Cosmetics.
Glossier has been around since 2010 and I’m not sure why I haven’t tried their products yet but with the warmer weather coming, I’ve been wanting to try tinted blushes. Milk Makeup also has tinted blushes in stick form that I’d like to give a try too.
I’m not one to use primer to often but Tatacha just released a new primer that is lightweight and I’m all for any new products from this brand.
Rihanna has been dropping new products left and right this year and two recent product launches I’ve wanted to try are the mascara and setting spray Fenty Beauty.
There’s only one lip product that has been on my wishlist and that the Huda Beauty matte lipstick. From what I’ve seen online the lipsticks can be used multiple ways, like for blush, eyeshadow, or contouring.
Last but not least Anastasia Beverly Hills has relaunched the Nicole Guerriero highlighter palette. The first time the palette launched I missed out on it but not this time.
Skincare
La Mer has been on my wishlist for a while now and I really just want to try it because it’s expensive. I just want to know if it’s any different than my affordable cleansers.
In addition to cleansers, I don’t have many eye creams and the Tatcha Silk Peony cream is said to fight signs of aging and release a shield of hydration. This is something I’ve been needing lately since pollen season started. Once pollen season is over I’ll be able to to switch over the Olenhenriksen bright eye cream or the Fresh Beauty Age Delay eye cream. All three of these creams will be great to add to my skincare routine and can be used either as a day or night cream.
After using the Deep Hydration toner from Fresh Beauty, I’ve been wanting to try the Kombacha Toner too. I don’t have many dark spots on my face but every now and then I’ll get a acne scar from a pimple.
Last month I realized I didn’t have many scrubs or facial mask in my skincare collection. I saw on social media the Herbivore Exfoilating Glow Facial and I heard good things about it. Along with the exfoliate many people were saying to use the Prism BHA Exfoliating serum if you felt a tingling sensation from the facial. Another mask I’d like to try for when my skin needs hydration is the Summer Fridays Jet Leg Mask.
As for moisturizers I’ve had my eyes on the Glow Recipe Banana Souffle Cream and the Milk Makeup Moisturizer . Although the warmer weather is approaching and I won’t need a heavy moisturizer it’s always good to have it on hand just in case.
The last skincare product I’d like to try this year is the Farsali Liquid to Powder Oil balancing serum. It’s the perfect serum to help control oils under your makeup. I’d definitely use this product a lot over the summer.
Hair
Ouai is a brand I’ve wanted to try for some time now but I wasn’t sure if it was for my hair type. I did however, find that they have a curl jelly that is said to tame frizz and lock in curls. I’ll give it a try and let you guys know about it.
A friend of mines has told how much she loves her Mielle Organics twisting cream and I’ve been meaning to try it out. At the moment I’ve found my perfect hair products but I do need a leave-in conditioner and I’ll try this out soon.
Mane Choice has been a product I see in Walmart and YouTube. I still haven’t tried any of the products yet but I’ve heard great reviews so I’ve added it to my wishlist to try this year.
Briogeo Deep Conditioner mask is one conditioner I’ve had on my hair list since 2018. I’ve come to love hair mask for those days when I need to deep condition espcially during the winter.
Fragrance
Kayali is a brand by Huda Kattan sister, Mona Kattan. I specifically want to try the fragrance with the jasmine key notes. That’s my favorite note in any fragrance.
I’ve recently started to get into more clean fragrances with subtle hints of floral and musk. Skylar is a brand that I came across on my Pinterest account. This brand is hypoallergenic and the scents can be layered to match your mood.
I have heard so much about the Tom Ford f**ng fabulous fragrance. Everyone who has tried this scent or has the scent say that it smells amazing. If I can get myself a sample I will be more than satisfied.
Are there any brands or products you’d like to try? Let me know in the comments.
