Hello beauties today I’m reviewing Tracee Elise Ross hair products, Pattern. This brand is for all the curlies, coilies, and tight texture haired girls and boys. When I first heard about the brand, I knew I had to try it because I love Tracee’s curls. Her curls are big, fluffy and beautiful. I know you didn’t come here to hear about how I admire Tracee’s hair so let’s get into this review.
Also be sure to check out my other hair post here and my latest post here.
Products
In the collection there is a shampoo, conditioner, leave-in conditioner, hair oil, detangling brush, hair clip and a microfiber towel. Just to try out the products I purchased the on-the-go kit, which had the shampoo, conditioner and leave-in. I didn’t get a chance to purchase the towel, brush, oil or the hair clip but I will try those out next time I visit Ulta.
Shampoo
The shampoo is a creamy smooth moisturizing blend of Aloe Vera leaf juice, coconut oil and honey. It also doesn’t have any harsh surfactants that strip curls of their moisture. With this combination it leaves your healthy and hydrated, and ready for your conditioner. When I first used it, I noticed the smell was clean and fresh. That could definitely be due to the floral notes of Jasmine and sweet sandalwood. After my first use my hair and scalp felt clean, refreshed and hydrated. Which is probably from the coconut oil and honey mixture.
Conditioner
Not only is there just one conditioner, but there are three different conditioners; medium (curlies), intensive (tight textures), and heavy. I have the heavy conditioner which is for the collies. The consistency is thick and buttery. I thought my Garnier coconut conditioner gave my hair slip, but Pattern makes it easy for my to detangle my hair in less than five minutes. It has to be due to the Shea Butter, Avocado Oil and Safflower Oil. It also has a nice gently clean scent too like the shampoo.
Leave-In
Unlike the other leave-in conditioner’s I tried, this one does not flake after I layer it with additional products. It’s very lightweight but it adds just enough hydration to give my curls definition without gels or creams.
Overall I will definitely be adding Pattern to my haircare routine in the future. It will probably be my most used products going into the warmer months and I still need to try out the hair oil, towel and clip. Have you tried Pattern yet? If so let me know your thoughts in the comments.
